Instead of celebrating Brandon’s 34th birthday this January 21st we will instead acknowledge his one year absence from our lives on January 23rd. This past year I vowed to remind myself daily to be joyful for the 33 years that I had with him rather than despair for those years I will not experience. This is no easy feat, but a worthy goal and one that is easier accomplished when I remember the many blessings that are still present in my life. This eclectic list includes things that have made the difference in my journey toward healing and consists of two and four legged friends and even the great State of Texas The people on this list know who they are and I thank them with all my heart. In closing, one last picture of an obviously proud mom and her beautiful son.
