Insurance companies are the biggest pain in the ass to deal with.... Call my car insurance agent. Me: Id like to cancel my coverage temporarily. Effective today. Her: I have to e-mail you a form. Me: Sure. Her: Is it because you dont want to pay the premium? Me: (Thinking are you crazy?!) No. Its because I sold the car. (Also thinking Im not paying for someone else to drive a car I no longer own) Her: Hey Melissa hold on.... 2 minutes later.... If you dont buy a car in the next 30 days your rates are going up because there was a lapse in the policy WTF! LOL The policy I dont have. The policy Ive paid for on time month after month using auto-debt. Regardless the policy is going to go up because of the car Im going to buy and I intend to buy in the next 30 days....but I hate insurance company threats or threats of any kind. Thats the kind of business that drives me insane. Ill buy if I want. Ill leave when I want. I recommend when I want. Its really simple.
