Integrating Innovation and e-Literacy into Human Resources Today, I spoke at the India Economic Summit 2014 in New Delhi. I was delighted to unveil my grand vision for AP amidst CEO and various delegates at the Summit. You are aware of the fact that technology is a subject close to my heart. I want everyone to use technology to better their lives. And, I aim to do this in our Sunrise State of Andhra Pradesh. Our government plans to update syllabus in educational institutions by enhancing the quality of technical education, holding Entrepreneurship Bootcamps, awarding credits for online courses and make at least one person from a family an e-literate. I believe that students should be given choices in subjects so they can pick a subject of their choice. We are mulling introduction of electives that will usher in creative thinking and innovation. We are considering mandatory apprenticeship and skill enhancement by MSMEs so that graduates become employable and increase productivity. Faculty upgradation, training and on-boarding facilities, guest lectures from international mentors/ experts and awards for innovation are on the anvil. The ecosystem needs to change. Every sector, from agriculture to energy and food processing, ought to incorporate technology into their daily operations for simple, efficient functioning. Lets work towards becoming a technologically advanced state and make our dream of Digital Andhra Pradesh true.
