Interesting. I think this applies to alot of what I find as a problem with charistmatic healing and spiritual practices. They are all about glorifying self, recognition, about fullfilling our own ego. No wonder I have gotten uncomfortable with what I see in the church. Thanks Michael Hardin this is a good book. Grandfather said, We are not the power, nor is it we who create the miracles. It is the power of Creation, the spirit world and the Creator working through us. We are but a bridge for that power, as is anyone who knows the simple truth. We must never take credit for what we have helped to do, but hide the fact that we are the bridge. Self-glorification is the lust of the physical mind. To know the truth is to know that we have done nothing but be used by the forces outside of ourselves. It is then not we who create the Power, for we only obey and direct its forces. We are nothing more than a hollow vessel. We Simply obey the commands. The Power is given to us to command and direct. Without the command or the Power, we are but an empty vessel. What Grandfather was saying was clearly stated above. It is not we who create the miracles, but the worlds of nature, spirit and the Creator working through us. He also said so many times that we must hide the fact that we have any power at all. The ego can destroy the vessel and could close the doorway forever. So, too, can the ego and lust for power lead us to seek the power of the demons from the Dark Side. That line between Good and Evil does not need our belief to give it power, for it has power enough. We see it rear its ugly head throughout the world of today, every day. It is the fears of man, his lust for riches, his greed, and the sins of the flesh which nourish that Evil and give it such an awesome power.
