Interesting..... The Presidents of Mexico and Guatemala shared the stage at a joint press conference on Monday to announce plans that would make it easier for Central Americans to travel through Mexico to reach the U.S. border and illegally cross into America. The plan would include increased border checkpoints at the Mexico border with Guatemala, and would provide illegal aliens with a Regional Visitor’s Card, allowing them to travel throughout Mexico for 72 hours – plenty of time to get to the U.S. border. The new program would also benefit citizens from Belize making the illegal journey to America, according to Examiner. Realistically, anyone from a Central American country who reaches the Guatemala-Mexico border would be able to take advantage. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers have noted an influx of immigrants from Central American countries other than Mexico. Citizens from as far away as El Salvador and Honduras have made their way to the border.
