Interesting article. Im not interested in debating whether he did it or not, other than to say the consequences of believing the wrong person in this matter are pretty tragic. Nobody is going to come out a winner. What I am interested in hearing, however, is what you think about separating the art from the artist. Like this article says, Bill Cosby is an actor. Cliff Huxtable is just a character on what most people would agree was a pretty great TV show. I assume the cast members from The Cosby Show still receive residuals when it is rebroadcast. They havent been accused of anything, yet they are paying a penalty. Granted, the show could have been pulled anytime, but it was pulled because what one of the other actors allegedly did. This is very similar to the actors caught up in the cancellation of the Seventh Heaven reruns. Maybe going forward with his TV projects in the pipeline is a bad idea, but could you watch a Cosby rerun and appreciate the acting and the work of the creative team, or are you so disgusted by the allegations that you would have to keep clicking the remote? Okay....go!
