Interesting documentary about Burma during the Cold War, when it was still a democratic government & the richest in South East Asia. By 1950 Burma was already in Civil War with the Karen Rebels & the Communist Party of Burma, these events led to General Ne Wins coup in 1962, more than 10 years later after the first civil war battle with the Karens. Ne Win was bad for Burma, but he cant be blamed for everything as he did not start these events that led up to his coupe. Imagine if Karens never rebelled & the democratic government won to the communist very fast. Our country could be like Japan in Asia, since we have more minerals & a strategic trade zone.
