Interesting question. There are so many possible answers. Right now, Id have to go with nationalism. Today, there are so many countries out there thinking that they are #1, that what they want, they deserve. Survival of the fittest. When, in reality, we are all members of the human race. All differences are man-made. If we could live as one humankind family, a lot of the other problems would go away. One country (or corporation) would not think they have a right to steal water from another. We would work together to take care of those who are ill and cure diseases. We would take the money we spend on wars and turn it back to the people, solving internal problems and funding education and health care, etc. Yes, if we stopped thinking with the Ive got mine, screw you attitude and had more empathy and compassion for all people as befitting fellow human beings regardless of where they lived, life on this planet would definitely be better.
