Interesting read, well written and soundly argues some necessary points. But maybe Joss Whedon doesnt include feminist theory, history, or literature in his speech because he hasnt been trained in feminism? And perhaps he speaks from not only a position of wealthy, famous, white man but the position at the podium he was asked to take from the organization? If you ask someone to talk about feminism who has no reason to know anything about feminism, then perhaps the organization should be critiqued as much as Whedon should.
