Interesting reading the thread on this article on Jerry DeWitts wall and how many people are upset merely at the idea of calling these gatherings atheist *churches*. People argue the use of religious language undermines our cause. I dont agree, although I do think language is important for communicating and thus achieving our goals in the long run. But this disagreement comes up again and again, among atheists. Sometimes it feels like the same arguments over and over, with people talking past each other and not really maturing in their views or ways of communicating.
