Interestingly, the US LSAT exam (to rate suitability of law student applicants) actually tests applicants ability to derive and apply a Markov Chain model from a set of facts, and then answer a series of 7 questions based on the model they deduced - all within a 8 minute time allotment. Of course, they dont tell you that they are asking you to build a mathematical decision model... but thats what it is.
