Into the Woods When I was a teen, it was not uncommon to play with bebe guns and shoot things in the woods. Recently my son told me about an experience he had that gave me an anxiety attack while thinking of the worst outcome. He and his friend went into the woods with bebe guns, and soon after a neighbor complained about gunshots coming from the woods. Immediately, police were dispatched and word got to the family of my sons friend that law enforcement was on its way. His friends parents ran and got the boys out of the woods and explained to the officers later that the boys were just having innocent fun and the sound that the neighbor complained about was just a bebe gun. I didnt truly understand the severity of the disconnect between some of the people we trust to protect and serve and their community, until I suffered an anxiety attack from the thought that my son would never make it out of the woods.
