Intro to Stand Up Paddle Boarding 7 & 14 September 2013 by Ramstein Outdoor Recreation Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boards look like very large surfboards, and the people standing on them are propelling themselves along using long paddles to cruise across flat water or power through the waves. The popularity of SUP boards has exploded due to their stability, ease of use, and ability to catch waves at the local surf spot. Although we don’t have access to the waves, the local Bostalsee will provide the perfect location to try out SUP boards. Join Ramstein ODR for some basic instruction and a chance to hone your SUP skills. Besides, it’s summer time, go play in the water. What about lunch, you ask? We’ll provide a BBQ.
