Irene doesnt know it (yet, but she will when she reads this post) but I took the remainder of my pot of white beans and ham down to the dealership to share with whatever of my employees want a bowl. Beans are always best on the third day! Boiled the hambone all day on Friday while 3 pounds of white beans were soaking all day and over night. Dumped the hambone and stock into a larger pot along with the beans, about 4 pounds of leftover Thanksgiving ham, a whole pint bottle of dark molasses, 4 cans of diced tomatoes, an onion, diced fine and 4 cloves of garlic, chopped, not crushed. A little salt and garlic pepper and the stove was left to do its work. Tasty fare, if I do say so myself.
