Iris Global Films presents our first historical documentary on the life story of the Bakers, the revival spreading across Mozambique, and our primary pursuit of the presence of God. HEIDI & ROLLAND BAKER Heidi and Rolland Baker began Iris Ministries in 1980, and have been missionaries for thirty years. They were both ordained as ministers in 1985 after completing our BA and MA degrees at Vanguard University in southern California. In 1995 they started a new ministry to the poor and homeless children in Mozambique. Beginning with nothing, within a matter of months they were given a dilapidated orphanage in Maputo. From there, the ministry has expanded to include well-drilling, free health clinics that service the poor and sick, feeding programs, primary and secondary schools, cottage industries and over 10,000 churches in Mozambique and a total are working over 30 nations. Above all else, they value immediate intimacy with Jesus, a life of utterly-needed miracles, concentration on the humble and lowly, willingness to suffer for loves sake, and the unquenchable joy of the Lord, which is their energy, motivation, weapon and reward.
