Iron Horse Appaloosa Stud is set in a pretty valley of 120acres on the outskirts of Nelligen NSW. Our aim is to breed dark base Appaloosas, with good conformation and colour. This upcoming 2015 foaling season we are expecting our first lot of progeny from our resident stallion Iron Horse Dark Eclipse, our Black LP/LP 2012 colt. We are excited to see what he produces. We have selected 10 broodmares based on there conformation and breeding, with the mix of old bloodlines and new including Inky Spots (imp), Ultimate Affair (imp), Sure to Impress (imp), Mega Dream (imp), Jesse James (AQHA) , Prince Plaudit (APHC), Nevada Peavys Bambi, Northbound Goer Power and Colidas Lad (imp). We have an up and coming addition to our stud for our future breeding/showing program, a 2013 black and white colt whos rego name is pending - AAA Smokin Aces. We cant wait to get him out in the show ring, he is a exciting new addition to Iron Horse Appaloosas.
