Irrespective of any BJP supporters might say, I find hope in AK. - TopicsExpress

Irrespective of any BJP supporters might say, I find hope in AK. This is for the same reason why AK rose to fame. It is because of his campaign against corruption (along with Anna). I am sure even Modi supporters were with AK at this point of time. In Delhi, I can imagine fear in the face of the baabus (who wants bribe to move the file forward). I have seen enough corruption at the smaller level (Crime Patrol a Sony TV serial gives just a glimpse of that). I am sure all of you must have heard the slogan, “Sau mein se aassi baemaan… phir bhi mera desh Mahaan”. We have to eradicate this feeling and particularly this disease from our culture. AK and his team can do a very good job here and in doing so may start bringing ethics within all of us. He can bring transparency into the system by pointing out flaws in the individual or the system. Having said that, I also would like to acknowledge the fact that, criticizing a role vs actually doing it, are two different world. Sanjay Manjrekar is a good commentator (critic) but wasn’t a good player. Now, let’s not start a debate here; I am just making a point. “You can’t make a weak man strong by making a strong man weak” – Lincoln. You cannot prove your competency by showing the incompetency of others; you can do so only by showing yours. Now, I assume that AK might be the best person in the world to rule India but how can I ever know? Let me give you an analogy: Assume that, you are the CEO of Microsoft and you’ve to choose your successor. I know that there is fresher who has recently joined the company. He is very bright and honest. Do you think that, he will be considered for the post. Not likely. Why? If chosen then, he can do two things: (1) He will give a fresh perspective to the company which will take the company to reach heights OR (2) the company will be doomed. Can you take that chance? I know, I won’t (especially when I am a shareholder). Instead, I will keep an eye on him and keep giving him bigger challenges until he reaches the biggest of all (of running the company, of course). This way, he will know the ground reality and does not just talk in air. He will have a higher confidence and will be better prepared for the role. In short, hell be better groomed for the job. Imagine what will happen if Tendulkar was told to face Akram without him having coached by Achrekar. Although he was THE Tendulkar but, he still needed that grooming. AK is not being denied the opportunity to lead India; it is just being delayed. He is young and has a long life ahead of him (I hope so) and hence should not worry about him becoming PM. He just has to prove himself at a smaller level first. It is for his own benefit and for the benefit of the nation. I think that can only be called fairness. I am sure AK will prove himself and come very strong in the next election. For the time being, I feel Modi is the best candidate and should be given a complete freedom to prove himself (by giving him complete majority). In short: I recall a very old proverb, “All that glitters is not Gold”. I want to be sure of the presence of Gold before I buy it. With this perspective, I would like to be sure of AKs ability to handle CM post of Delhi before I give him the job of PM (which I certainly hope so). For the time being, Modi should be our choice.
