Is Mindfulness Meditation Associated with “Feeling Less?” Results indicate that mindfulness may be associated with increased emotional engagement, increased contact with emotions, and rapid recovery from the emotional experience. Mindfulness may indeed promote having more control over one’s emotions and down regulating them when required to do so, yet it may also reduce the need for such control and regulation.
