Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:14-16 The time has come. Tomorrow and Tuesday will you join me in prayer as our potential donor travels to the Piedmont Transplant Center in downtown Atlanta for two days of extensive testing. We already know that the blood and tissue testing has shown a perfect match. They will now determine whether our donor is ready physically and psychologically to endure the surgery. Regardless of the outcome and I mean this sincerely, this person is so special and has such an awesome testimony of how they have obediently waited for 18 months to fulfill what God has called them to do and I am so thankful for their obedience and their ability to hear Gods quietest whisper to their heart. I am also very thankful for their family...their spouse and their children and their willingness and support throughout this journey. It is overwhelming. It is so very humbling. At the same time, it should not come as a surprise to those of us that believe that God hears our prayers and as our loving Heavenly Father, desires that we should be healthy, happy, and full of joy for how He intersects our lives in time of need. I am constantly amazed that He loves us so.
