Is he a producer? Yes. A singer? Of course. Oh, and I dare you to tell KEiTH PHELPS he isnt a rapper. I know its a lot to digest from an Independent Artist that you may not have seen on TV or heard on the radio...yet. But this 24 year old Indianapolis, Indiana native wont let that stop him from supplying you with audible vaccinations for this current music industry. From humble, suburban beginnings, at a young age Phelps knew he wasnt like the others, defying the odds and breaking through walls well before it was all About The Money or this here lifestyle. See, Phelps could sit down and tell you about sessions hes done with Interscope or Def Jam. Songs with Sevyn Streeter, Zendaya, Tonéx or famed songwriter Eric Dawkins. But he wont, I mean he wont even mention it. So dont ask him. And its not like those situations arent a part of his journey, its just that they dont define who he is as a person or as an artist. Phelps is an Independent artist wholeheartedly. Hes not looking to sign with a major label no matter how much you want to tell him he should. You see, Phelps believes in ownership and power and refuses to let someone else dictate the routes he should take. And how could you not respect that? Society wants you to believe that an artist cant be real in their music. Now when I say real, I dont mean how many cars, chains or houses they have. Im talking about being vulnerable with your significant other, expressing real heartache from not having a job or being able to eat a hot meal and even praising your Lord and Savior. Now if youre a little late to the KEiTH PHELPS show, dont worry you get a pass this time. Phelps has two projects on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify that you should be checking out once you finish reading this. A mixtape titled PHELPS PHRiDAY and an EP called PHiNDiNG Myself are waiting for you now. While those two projects are good...I mean really....really good. The true essence and beauty of who KEiTH PHELPS is as a person and an artist will be showcased on his debut album in December 2014. REAL. beautiful. MUSiC will take you on a journey that no other major or independent artist has ever taken you before. Will there be crazy, ridiculous production? Absolutely. Smooth, soothing vocals? Definitely. Undeniable rap lyrics? You better believe it. Heres a fun fact: 95% of Phelps music is made/recorded/mixed in his bedroom...in his parents home...in Orlando, Florida. While it may sound like its being done in a multi-million dollar studio, that just isnt the case. And Phelps would rather you know the truth. That is who he is and that is what makes all of this that more incredible. Now its possible youd rather continue to be spoon fed what you hear on the radio, but if youre looking for a change in guard, something and someone worthwhile to invest your hard earned money in, get ready for REAL. beautiful. MUSiC. because KEiTH PHELPS is here to stay.
