Is it just my imagination, or is this a photo of the planets - TopicsExpress

Is it just my imagination, or is this a photo of the planets youngest super-villain plotting world domination?!? :-) The reason I posted this photo of Dante Shan (taken yesterday by his lovely and talented cousin Meara) was that it tied in nicely with what I was intending to write about another super-villain -- the fear-inducing DAN-DAN from my Zom-B series!! Dan-Dan is one of the vilest villains Ive ever written about, and book 9, Zom-B Family, sees him cut loose at his wildest. As Ive said before, its a hard-hitting, disturbing entry, but Ive always thought it was one of the best books too, and early feedback from Twitter and Goodreads echoes that. Sophie Waters, for instance, tweeted: Never before has a book made me feel physically sick. Master of Horror, indeed. Empire Of Books tweeted: Its the darkest, goriest instalment yet and one of the most graphic books Ive read in a long time. Mr Shan is well and truly pushing the boundaries and with 3 volumes left to go in the series I cannot wait to see what hell do next. Bring on Zom-B Bride! February is so far away!!! And then later he added: Im struggling to write my review for Family. How many times is the word amazing acceptable? So gory. Your best yet! Loved it! Ky Campbell said: Just finished reading Zom-B Family, I seriously cannot wait for the next one. @darrenshan is a legend. And Michael Moore added: Just finished reading zom-b family @darrenshan omg this is scary I love it While over on Goodreads, Emma said: As always Darren shan gets 5 stars. This series gets better and better. The last couple of books have had hardly any blood or gore but this... at times I was cringing, it was non stop beginning to end, and I think I like B more with every book, but the twists in this book were fantastic, definitely what shan does best is keep you on your toes. And Dan noted: Darren Shan really pushes the limits on the gruesome here. Dan-Dans torturing of B is properly horrific and is one of the best torture scenes Ive ever come across in any medium. The series plot is pushed along gently and Shan does a great job at dealing with the relationship between B and her father. It is well done, managing to contain the conflict of love and hate at the same time without becoming a major part of the book. For me, this is probably the best of the series so far. Its so dark, so disgusting and so Darren Shan. And yet again theres another stunning ending.
