Is it normal to have pain long term? I have been having pains on - TopicsExpress

Is it normal to have pain long term? I have been having pains on my right side towards the lower end of my rib cage since March ... went to see my doc in Apr and he put me on cipro for 10 days ... that seemed to alleviate it some for a short bit but still have the pain. No fevers, nausea or such. Just pain. So when I went back to see my doc in Oct and I mentioned the pain again he said its prolly my gallbladder and I need to watch my diet better .... which is probably true due to the fact that they told me its pretty sludgy and there is some scarring there ... anyhow, I guess I always am concerned about them missing something ... not only that but I find it concerning that I started out having MRCP every 6 months and this is the first time my doc has had me wait a whole year between tests .... I would assume that the longer you have PSC, that having tests done more regular would be the better option? ... Oh and sorry for being long winded and so many questions but does anyone ever have their liver/gall bladder
