Is it still winter? A much warmer night saw a little larger numbers tonight. Thanks to our chefs and volunteers, everyone had full bellies and happy. We had a new patron turn up after being bashed on the way to site. Thanks to Community Medic who assisted the patron who had to have an ambulance called for him with suspected broken ribs. Police also attended and went to investigate and look for the offenders. Another new patron turned up who has been living in his car with his animals and was needing assistance, a hot meal and advice. We welcomed our new friends from RRT who will be joining our team. Breakfast packs also went out tonight along with take away soups. Patrons always look forward to the Vinnies Van for a hot cuppa, snacks and a good chin wag. This week PIF has donated blankets and other items to the Vinnies Van to help out the Parramatta patrons. Glad for the warmer weather so our rough sleepers can try and sleep a little bit more comfortable tonight.
