Is our infrastructure in place? Thank you for addressing this issue Sharon Armstrong! This is the first thing I addressed with our Expo Line coming in and with all of our Citys approved and pending approval of development sites - Is our infrastructure in place to serve our daily population and projected daily population. And yes Frank Gruber when an emergency hits- Its all at one time and an expected max of 500K people on weekends in our Santa Monica community. Somewhat of a stretch dont you think our current numbers. And given our North South traffic on any given day with expected Expo Line delays - How can our City with a clear conscience give our residents peace of mind should an emergency strike. Just bear witness to our current backed up East bound traffic every day on every given artery in our City from 2:30 on from Washington Avenue to the North, Wilshire Blvd, Arizona Avenue, Santa Monica Blvd., Colorado , Olympic Blvd., Pico Blvd., Pearl Street, Marine and Dewey and every alley in between. We cannot be in denial. The sooner we accept our challenges the easier we can work out a remedy. We are definitely not the first City to experience the challenges of growth and expansion.
