Is the future truly set? - Charles Xavier Good Evening - TopicsExpress

Is the future truly set? - Charles Xavier Good Evening MovieGeeks! :)). Finally purchased one of my favorite films of this year, X-Men: Days Of Future Past last friday. DOFP is one of my most anticipated films of this year, and I am so glad that it didnt suck, but was rather awesome on so many levels. It just may be the best X-Men film to date, with amazing character moments, an interesting and complex narrative, and a whole lot more to offer. It is also one of the best films Marvel has made to date. The movie itself is great, and Im not even over-exaggerating, and I think the same goes for this DVD release. The DVD includes a slipcover that looks better in person than in picture. But, the slipcover isnt as thick if compared to the slipcover Magna did for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The slipcover adds extra value, but I am a bit disappointed because some of the artworks are blurred. And also, it is rather flimsy, but Im still happy this came with a slipcase. The disc looks great, and includes disc art instead of dull grey or black artwork that only includes the title of the film and other info. The film is presented in a 2:40:1 aspect ratio that looks good to great on your LED TV screen. Even though I saw this on our BD player which upscales the PQ for DVDs, the grains are still noticeable, but doesnt bother me too much since this is just a DVD. But still, the picture looks really good. The dark scenes set in the future arent too dim, and have deep colors. As for the scenes set in the 70s, the colors are vibrant and sometimes pops out. The PQ may be good or okay, but its the DVDs audio which impressed me. The action scenes sounds really good on our HT system, and almost replicate my theater experience for this film. In terms of bonus content, I am quite happy that Magna added some for extra value, knowing that its R1 counterpart doesnt include special features, not even one. This DVDs special features include Gag Reel, Gallery: Trask Industries, Theatrical Trailers, and a Sneak Peek of Exodus: Gods and Kings. To sum it all up, this is worth buying for the movie alone, but I cant be more thankful since Magna added extra value to the price by giving it a kick-ass slipcover and some special features. This is definitely a must-buy and is really worth adding to your collection. Well, thats it MovieGeeks! Thats my first purchase for the month of October and also, my latest DVD purchase. See ya soon til my next DVD Update! :)). *X-Men: Days Of Future Past is available on DVD for P799, distributed by Magnavision Home Video.
