Food preservatives are notable, in that they can and do cause irritability; behavioral and health problems. Anxiety over issues in the home; custody conflicts; peer pressure; low self-esteem. A good parent is not created by siring or giving birth to a child and a child should not be regarded as baggage, or used as a pawn. A child has no say at all in her/his creation and are then at the mercy of chance. We must understand just what a child is and what our roles are in raising them...after deciding whether to have one at all. I think that may be too much to expect, even in the 21st century....and yes, I am not at all perfect, but it is expected we gain wisdom as we age.
