Is this something you would like to see here in Michiana? Elementary school students in the Kokomo Indiana school district are receiving radio frequency identification cards that they swipe to help transportation officials track their bus travel. Transportation Director Dave Frushour says the district decided to buy the software because of concerns about students safety. He said the district receives at least one call a week from a parent asking why their child didnt get off at the bus stop. The new system allows the district to track when a student entered and exited a bus. It also can stop youngsters from getting on the wrong bus. Each card will have the correct bus number and bus stop stamped on it.
