Isaiah 1:2 Hear, o heavens, and give ear, o earth; for the Lord hath spoken, "I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me." There are those whose parents raised them in the Lord. They have nourished them with love, with a warm house and bed, with food and with the word of God and they have turned from th love of their parents to live their lives the way they want to and have neglected the true love of their parents. All of us at one point or another have done that to God. We want to be gods, we want OUR way. We do not think the way God thinks. Gods thoughts are higher than our thoughts and infinitly pure and good. The American people are good examples of people trying to be gods. If we as a people were following God our country would not be in the desolate condition it is in but when you fight to have your own way long enough God will let you have it. When you walk so far away from God by letting your sin control you, you open the door for satan. We need to walk back to Jesus. In the words of Corrie ten boom, "There is no pit so deep that God is not deeper still"
