Isaiah 59:15-20 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it was displeased Him that there was no judgment. And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore His arm brought salvation unto him; and His righteousness, it sustained him. For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak. According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompence to His enemies; to the islands He will repay recompence. So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the rest, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in Luke a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord. Again, we pulled a this passage out the chapter, but I would encourage you to go back and read the whole chapter so that you can see what is going on here. I think that as you read the first part of this chapter, you will see the same things that I saw, which is a direct correlation to the way things are going in our country today. I realize that this prophecy is spoken to Israel, but lets look at this. Who were the Israelites? Were they not Gods people? Yes they were. Now who are Gods people today? Its not the Israelites, its the Christians!!!!!! Its us, to use that belong to Him, the true church, which is the body of Christ!!!!!! This sane prophecy could be spoken to us today. I have told you before that every part of scripture has a meaning for us in this day and time too, its not just a bunch of stories about things that happened years and years ago. Here Isaiah is prophesying that they have all walked away and turned their backs on God. Have we not done that ourselves in this Nation? We have ignored His word, we have ignored His teachings, we have ignored His will!!!!! Even in a lot of our churches today, we have watered down our messages in order to draw crowds, but what are we teaching the crowds? Remember, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!!!!!!! The church in America has become so worldly and so wrapped up in ourselves that we have forgotten to seek God!!!!!! Truthfully, so many that call themselves Christians are only interested in going to heaven. We want to go to heaven, but we dont want to separate ourselves from the worldly things that we have come to love so much. That a lot of times we have to love more than God!!!!!!!! Have we not set up idols? Have we not become lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God? Think about it, churches are empty, but ball games are packed!!!!!!! Churches are empty, but all kinds of recreation outlets are thriving. We dont have the gas to get to church or to go out and visit, but does it stop us from going on vacation? Dear friends, is this a popular message? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!! But forget about whether it is popular or not, lets focus on whether or not it is true!!!!!!! Is it true? I believe that it is!!!!!!! As we were talking about last night, we need to repent and get back to our first love, get back to Jesus!!!!!!! We sing, O How I Love Jesus, but do our lives and actions show it? Tough times bring tough questions!!!!!!!! We, like Israel, need to repent and return to God!!!!!!! We live in a day where people dont want to accept the truth anymore because then they would have to admit that the ways that they are living is wrong. Its easier to try to fit Gods word to our lives rather than fit our lives to Gods word!!!!!!!! But friends, it doesnt matter if we believe the truth or not, it doesnt change the validity of the TRUTH!!!!!! We need to learn to desire God, we need to learn to desire His word, we need to learn to desire His will and His power to operate in our lives. We need to learn to allow Him to have control, to desire for Him to have control!!!!!!! We want revival, then lets repent and serve Him with sincerity and quit playing games with Him!!!!!!!!? Thin of all that He has done for us. Read Isaiah 53:3-11 and look at what He did, how He suffered just become He loves us!!!!!!!!! He is calling us to repentance, He is telling us that He will be there with us and protect us and fight for us, but He wants us to humble ourselves before Him and submit ourselves to Him, and not to the world!!!!!!!!! Think about it!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
