Isaiah 8:19-20 They will say to you, “Seek oracles at the pits used to conjure up underworld spirits, from the magicians who chirp and mutter incantations. Should people not seek oracles from their gods, by asking the dead about the destiny of the living?” Then you must recall the Lord’s instructions and the prophetic testimony of what would happen. Certainly they say such things because their minds are spiritually darkened. Our Triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is the God of the living! 1 Peter 1:23 says, “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.” Matthew 22:31-32: “But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.” Counsel that relies upon any spirit other than the Holy Spirit will give you deceitful and false advice. 1 Cor. 7:23 says, “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.” We are designed to seek the Lord…intricately woven together to worship Him alone! Psalm 37:4: “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
