Islam and evolution Some of our brothers and sisters have difficulty reconciling the theory of evolution with Islamic beliefs. As muslims we can believe in part of it without our creed being altered in any manner. We may accept the theory of evolution with the exception of two parts 1-Prophet Adam AS was placed on earth and did not evolve from anything/anyone 2-The exclusion of randomness from the theory--everything is under the control of Allah SWT. In the same way the big bang could be the mechanism of creation of galaxies and our planet, evolution could be the mechanism of creation for animals, plants and other life besides humans. All matter around us came from a single entity(the big bang) and all life besides humans came from a single cell--see the similarity. Remember that evolution is only a theory--it has flaws in it.Only Allah SWT knows whether it occured or not but we all concur that Allah SWT has no need to create anything by evolution--He simply says BE A few examples where Allah created animals without using evolution 1-The stick of Nabie Moosa which turned into a snake---the snake did not evolve from anything 2-The she-camel of Nabie Salih---This camel was created out of nothing by Allah SWT--it had no parents nor did it evolve from anything 3-The ram which was to be sacrificed by Nabie Ibrahim instead of Nabie Ismail 4--The bird created by Nabie Isa out of clay who then breathed into it and became alive--the bird did not evolve from anything Believing in parts of evolution does not make one a disbeliever and many islamic scholars are now studying evolution and attempting to reconcile science with scripture youtube/watch?v=Ydlrg7zFP6w
