Isle of Man TT 2014 Update 05 - Fourth day of practice: Oy! So a bit of wet patches around the track kept the big bikes from being let loose in tonights practice but we did get to wring the little 600s neck silly for two laps which was awesome. Dang these little Supersport bikes are fun to ride! You just pin and point them everywhere... My #85 Vercarmoto Yamaha R6 from Italy is really quick actually and is handling very well. Im told its a past factory bike and a winner in the Italian national series, has carbon fibre bodywork, kit parts in the engine, Brembo rotors, and some electronic bite. These fookers rev to the moon, dont they? There were waving yellow flags at Balla Scary tonight during my second (flying) lap, not sure why, but I lifted the throttle for an eternity and I crested the blind hill thinking there might be a bike or whatever on the racetrack but alas there was nadda. It cost me loads of time but oh well, better safe than sorry I guess. So we ended up I think 16th in Supersport out of 55 bikes in todays practice on a bike Ive ridden once? The first few guys in front of me today are John McGuinness, Guy Martin, and Dan Kneen. Im looking forward to seeing where we will stack up in Supersport when we can get some steady dry laps. Big thanks to Carlo and the boys at Vercarmoto for working so hard today. So fun. Hopefully well get another go on the big EBR tomorrow to try out Ohlins suspension changes and to move us up on our starting position for Saturdays 6 lap Superbike race. Was on the Manx Radio TT show this morning with Michael Rutter, Keith Amor, and Chris Kinley - always a laugh, even Jim Race from MotoPodCast managed to get a mention... twice. We were all laughing about how old we were getting but I never told the truth ha ha (-: Friggin Mike Rutter has attended this event 20 times. Damn! Old guys rock.. Until tomorrow, have a nice evening everyone. Hugs, Mark
