Isnt it odd that after 5 months of skipping on Parliamentary Special Select Committee meetings, in that time not putting forward proposals of any substance, the opposition again uses the excuse of not having enough time to consider the amendments? Their chronic absenteeism, juvenile excuses and odd populist rhetoric are not worthy of politicians who claim to work in the interest of their supporters. Now the private sector, and the average Guyanese citizen will bear the brunt of the oppositions political brinkmanship.
