Isnt it sad that often our church boards, deacons teams and leadership meetings are dominated by men who never show up in prayer meetings? So men who do not pray are actually determining the direction of many of our churches, and running the churches. So we then entrust these prayerless men with the church budgets and expenses and get surprised when missions, evangelism and reaching the lost take a back seat to buying more property and beautifying the church campus. We need to return to the standard of the early church for deacons that they had to be full of faith and the holy spirit and not simply because they have fat wallets.
