It amazes me how many people are almost mocking what is happening here in Wellington right now. We lay no claim to it, call it the Seddon earthquakes or mid central quakes if that pleases you. Wellingtonians truly hope that the people of Seddon and the top of the South are okay. There is no competition for the "biggest and baddest" Earthquake. I ask all those people trying to draw comparisons to remember back to the September Earthquake in Canterbury, and recall the fear and uneasiness you felt, in the months leading up to the devastating February Earthquake. The stress, panic and sleepless nights that have continued throughout the event you experience. I am from Christchurch and currently live in Wellington, and no matter what magnitude you see on Geonet, this sequence is terrifying and we all hope that everyone around the country is okay. All this negativity is disheartening and cruel. We are trying our best to get through it, but we need support and encouragement NOT mocks and negative comparisons. If you were in the Canterbury sequence, try and think back to the very beginning... Remember how YOU felt and you know exactly how we are feeling right now.
