It breaks my heart as a new travel agent that AA wont waive its $200 per person charge for an 86 year old man and his disabled wife who made an honest mistake by booking the wrong dates to fly to their granddaughters graduation from college. He made an honest mistake. After pleading with 4 different departments to give them a break of some kind, AA wont budge. Now they will have to cancel their trip all together coz they cant afford to pay the $400 penalty. As a retiree, its especially disappointing that no one is willing to make an exception at the airline I have loved and respected for so many years. I suppose business is business but I remember we used to have a heart. If this industry has changed THAT much, then give me back the good ol days!
