It can be a little amusing when you think about it. A post, Should Black People Be Faithful to Western Religions Like Christianity? refers to blacks but I think it may mean African Americans. Truth be told most African Americans are more attuned to Eurocentric customs and ethics than they are to Africa. Here lies the rub, European Christianity derives from African roots. I dont think all of Africa was as uncivilized as we had learned it to be. We dont seem to know much about the history of sub-Saharan Africa before slavery but it seems as though civilization started in northern Africa and the middle east. Doesnt it seem strange and confusing that society found it easier to expand by crossing the Mediterranean than it did to crossing the Sahara?
