It certainly is hard to wrap your head around that it has been a year since this happened. Today marks one year of the Arapahoe High School shooting, not to say the least but when your child calls and say their is a shooting at my school and that I love you Mom, the anxiety that is felt cannot be described. When you rush to the school and see hundreds of parents outside and is told that a student was already shot you are wondering was that your child. Then see your child in the midst the relief you feel that she is okay is beyond anything you could explain, but then your heart goes out to the parent that has a hurt child. On this day prayers go out to all families that were involved, and to the family of Claire as her life was lost on this day. Life may go on but the stigma of this is still there. Father we thank you for just being who You are.
