It concerns me how quick we are to make Judgements before we really know the facts. It concerns me that many Christians condemn Muslims and think that ultimately all Muslims believe that non Muslims are all infidels who should be put to death - I do not believe that true Muslims believe this. It concerns me that we (Christians an d non Christians) are so quick to accept and believe what other people tell us without putting in time and effort to find out for ourselves. If like me, you are a fully committed born again Christian did you come to faith and believe in Jesus based upon what other people and the media shared about God, Jesus and the Bible? I very much doubt it. So, I am going to educate myself!!! I have just found a book that spells out all the basics of Islam. It explains everything you and I should try to understand. It covers subjects like: what Islam is all about and what true Muslims really believe, but also covers social issues such as: womens rights, terrorism and fundamentalism. Just quickly glancing through the book, one thing came as a surprise, did you realise that Muslims regard Christians as Muslim no, I did not know that either. Ultimately, if we want to be able to understand our Muslim BROTHERS AND SISTERS, and bring them into a relationship with Jesus so that they can accept him and be saved, we need to understand them, their beliefs, where we are the same and where our differences lie. Please do not form opinions out of ignorance, consider reading this book. There is a world of difference between a normal Muslim and the animals hiding behind the false branding of Islam and going around committing atrocities in the name if Islam. I am prepared to say I am wrong if I read this book and find there is little difference between any of them, but I think I will find there is a huge difference. Only by truly understanding can we bring those led astray by false teachings to Jesus. Once we can do that, it is the Holy Spirit that will convert them, not us.
