It disgusts me when i drive past which is typically a African American girl/woman driving, listening to what is usually a tangent rap revolved around degrading a womans values. And its sad because so many women and men are numb to the fact that a majority of music that is produced for radio is detrimental to the growth of society. If anything is rotting our minds. It has made us a selfish culture about making money, partying and getting turnt up and twerking??? Then we have the other side of music like Kelly Clarkson and Pink of having disfunctional relationships and what not. Why not sing about unity and love and how to actually fix your issues. Everything is ego and how youre better than the other person, like the people who are looking up to you (so you sing about all the cash you make? Cash you make from your own fans? What really is hood rich? Is this to reverse the actual motivation to become successful in a respectable manner? ) Another one is you are better than this person you were just in a relationship and they deserve some kind of hell. Where is the substance really in any lyrics of mainstream music? And dont get me started on media produced specifically to target the African American/black race. There are major issues and we all need to say something and do something about it.
