It felt like a matinee game with the sun still streaming through the windows at puck drop! And thanks to Desiree being a human zamboni beforehand we had a fresh sheet of ice to play on. Team Red kicked off the scoring when Keith netted a top-shelf goal on Woody. Team Yellow Jacket didnt take long to respond, however, and despite being the only team without a sub, they dominated puck possession and zone time much of the night. The passing between Jeff, Jacob, Tony, and Carl was sure fun to watch! There were some epic board battles, and it seemed like Jeff was in the center of all of them. Walter for Team Red really picked up his defensive play and was breaking up passes all night. Things really got interested when five spectators showed up towards the end, some family members of some of the players. Bruce potted the very next goal, perhaps showing off for his grandson. Carl also came up with a natural hat trick, completing his hat trick of hat tricks for the night in front of his parents. Even watching hockey can be dangerous, however, as Cody almost crashed into them all, but went into a row of empty chairs instead. Keith, who started the scoring off, ended the game in overtime by putting one past Monika. The post-game shot of the night at Haleys was a cotton candy.
