It had been determined that Mackenzie will have her second repair surgery on Thursday, November 13th. Even though the surgery is now scheduled they could still take her sooner if her symptoms worsen before that date. It appears that the plan is just to sit and wait for surgery. The doctors dont want to make any changes to anything so those oh so familiar days of rest are back. Yesterday we wanted a definitive answer on when surgery was because every day not knowing was agony but now that we have a date the agony has not subsided it has just changed focus. We are no longer focused on when surgery will be but rather how short a time she has to prepare for it and praying for her to have the strength to overcome this massive set back. We are praying that she will feel better soon so she is able to rest before her surgery. She has yet to vomit old blood today but did spend over a half an hour dry heaving and unable to settle requiring additional sedation. If its not one thing its another, our little girl needs to catch a break for once! Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.
