It had been over 3 years since I had traveled to Africa. It was a short two week trip, but was able to have time of refreshing friendships. Evereste traveled all the way from Burundi to greet me and to receive French Bibles sent from Steve Patterson in Tennessee. Isaac and Jose spent a day visiting and cooked a “Real Congolese” dinner. Pr. Michael Wotts asked me to share testimony at his church, Bethel Worship Center, which is in a town over an hour from Kampala. Susan and I were able to go through the 4 trunks of wedding things for her to set up her Wedding Store as a sustainability project. Kennedy was happy to receive the new mixer for the outreach equipment. I got to meet and spend time with the Comfort Africa kids in Kampala and brought pillowcase dresses from US and Mexico to them, Madilyn’s House and Nalidi, along with some school supplies. Also visited Cana’s school and saw that we could help with school supplies there too. Delivered sheets for the boys at Canaan Foundation and for the girls at Nalidi, visited Billy and Teddy in Kadama and visited the Bible College in Mbali, got to visit my very good friend, Pastor Margaret in Nansanga. I was also able to purchase a few items from the Friday Open Market in Kampala for display at the Fellowship Center in Sedro Woolley. I got to see the beginning stages of the reconstruction of the building for the Kibuli Church Fellowship in Kampala. It was a short time with a lot to do, but I was sooooo blessed.
