It happened again! I did one of my semi-annual shows at my mothers retirement community. Just me, a piano and microphone and my and then I wrote show. Ive done basically the same show 4 times in the last 8 years, but luckily, they all say theyre so old it always seems new. Anyway, this time, after our experience in Nebraska, I had the good idea to contact one Beverly Beckman Blanchette who hooked me up with two talented younguns Clay Cartland and Micailah Lockhart (NY casting directors, make note of these names) who proceeded to learn in 2 days and then sing the sh*t outa Goodbye from Catch Me and I Cant Let Go from Smash. SO TALENTED! I am suddenly being reminded every week of the young talent that is bursting out all over this country. Damn them! :-) My mother (aka Debbie Downer) started the day with Why do you have to have other people sing?!? but ended the night with You were right, they were very good. That you were right from my mother felt SO GOOD!! So thank you Beverly, Clay and Micailah!
