It has been brought to my attention that my posts about PCOS and September being the Awareness Month for it, bothers some. Being told at 19 that having a child would be an absolute miracle... that bothers me. It brought my world crashing down, because believe it or not... I wanted children at one point. But its not just the infertility...its also the pain I go through on a daily basis, the affect it has on my marriage, the fact that I am insulin resistant so I have to be on medication the rest of my life, and the fact that I had to have weight loss surgery to loose the 150lbs that PCOS caused me to gain and then hindered me from losing and keeping off. So yes, I will be proactive and educate others about this horrible disease so that one day, maybe there will be a cure! If there is anyone who doesnt like that, please feel free to either remove yourself from my page or simply unfollow me for this month.
