It has been said that in order to be an effective communicator, you must be a great listener.This holds true especially when it comes to being effective in prayer. Prayer is a two-way conversation between God and man (or woman), and the means by which we communicate with Him to express our greatest needs, desires, and concerns. But there is an equally important part of the conversation that is often overlooked - listening and allowing God to speak to our heart. The Father already knows what we need even before we ask (Matt 6:32), but on the other hand, we need to be enlightened. We need to know what God has to say about our situation, and we need God’s wisdom, guidance, and direction concerning the matters of life.
