It has certainly been a very emotional week. Jim had been ill for some 3 years with 11 hospitalizations 3 years ago 7 last year and 4 so far this year...but he was determined and strong and pursued on. His admission this past Sunday I thought would be one of those in and outs and I planned out of Tuesday. However, God had a different plan. We actually were laughing with the wonderful nurse Tammy in ICU within minutes of his becoming unconcious requiring intubation ultimately coding and dying. The ICU team did ALL they could. Jim being Jim was so happy in his last minutes on this earth, which I am grateful for he did not know he was about to die. I have loved my time with him on this earh he was a joy to be with and enjoy so many parts of my life with. God holds him in his arms now and I am grateful for the peace I witnessed him finding in the last few years of his life. On Thursday I came home to two of our beloved puppies seizuring never having seizured before. I called Dr Barrons clinic on Shakelford Road in turn calling his mother in law Scottie who is my neighbor. The door was opened at the clinic when Devin and I arrived with the puppies. Precious had no heartbeat on our arrival. Dr. Barron gave her intracardiac epinephrine and resucitated her. Today she is eating and drinking at she had been a little sore I can tell but really not has I had feared. Sassy had a seizure as Precious was being resucitated. Dr. Barron directed his staff to give IV Valium to Sassy and she too is OK after IV fluids and monitoring for 48 hrs. Apparently Samson is as manly as he acts. His symptoms were only a low BS he is fine. Dr. Barron came to my home brought the puppies to be with me Thursday night. I did not want to be without them after Jims memorial service. IVs and all he sat up and we made it through the night back to the clinic the next morning for monitoring. I will forwever be grateful to Dr. Barron his STAFF and his mother in law, my neighbor Scottie for the survival of my puppies. God has been with me this week as well as my Precious daughter Devin and sister Darlene (Dot) I thank everyone for their kindness and look to a better week next week...God is good he holds my dear Jim and precious mother is his comforting arms now. But Jim I could not let the puppies go with you not now.
