It is #IqbalDay & the couplets which I like the most at the moment are in Armaghan e Hijaz in persian written in January 1938 just 3 months before his death. These still hold relevance when we are engulfed by Mullahs (whose sword is void of Qul HuwaAllah) & secular nationalist class. Ajam Hanooz Nadand Rumooz-E-Deen, Warna. Za Deoband Husain Ahmad! Aen Che Bu-ul-Ajabi Ast. Saroad Bar Sar-E-Minbar Ke Millat Az Watan Ast. Che Bekhabar Za-Maqam-E-Muhammad (S.A.W.) Arabi Ast. BaMustafa (S.A.W.) Barsaan Khowesh Ra Ke Deen Hama Ost. Agar Bah O Ner Sayyadi, Tamam Bu-Lahabi Ast. Allama Iqbal says, I feel muslims of Ajam are still unaware about the reality of Islam. Otherwise how could have Hussain Ahmad Madni of Deoband appealed such a thing which is absolutely against Islamic Soul. (Moulana Hussein had pledged his allegiance to congress on 9 Jan 1938.) Iqbal further says, This person says that nations in contemporary world can be build upon concept of nationalism & not faith. He is unaware of teachings of Prophet(saw). O Muslim if you cant merge with the teachings of Mustafa(saw) & leave this idea of creation of nation on basis of nationalism then you will not reach upto him because all this for what you stand by is Abu Lahabs idolatry. Anyone who has read Iqbal (ra) will not find such bitter words anywhere else for any Aalim in his whole poetry.
