It is a dream of mine to visit the Ardennes American Cemetery to personally see the final resting place of my Uncle Fritz J. Rohrborn, who died as a Prisoner of War from injuries suffered during the St. Viths battle in the Battle of the Bulge, in December 1944. He died on January 7,1945. My mother and my aunt never knew where their brother was buried. They had been notified that he had died in the Battle of Bulge. It wasnt until I was researching death records through Ancestry that I found he was buried in this special cemetery. I also found that he received a Bronze Star. He was so young at 27, having enlisted in the Army in 1941.
