It is a mystery as to why Sonia Gandhi and Congress would continue with Rahul Gandhi as the undeclared PM nominee even when his abject failure vis a vis Modi was all too apparent right from the beginning . Owing to rampant limitless corruption, coupled with policy paralysis and directionless governance, congress in any case didnt stand an iota of a chance in2014. However, Priyanka , despite the encumbrance of a rogue corrupt husband, could have been a better choice. But why would Sonia persist with the politically under developed Rahul Baba !! The only answer I can think of is Sonia wanted to shrug off the foreigner taint and establish her Indianness.Since Indian mothers are culturally and historically supposed to have son fixations , Rahul is the inevitable and irreplaceable choice !! Does anybody have a more rational explanation.
